Getting Started with Online Booking

The appointment booking process for patients is very straightforward. Patients nominate their preferred time and doctor and, if a matching appointment is found, the patient logs in using their Best Health account to book the appointment in the Bp Premier calendar. If this is the first online booking, the patient is prompted to create a Best Health account for future logins.

Before they start using Best Health Bookings, your patients may like to know the following:

  • To create a Best Health account, they'll need an SMS number and an email account during the signup process.
  • Patients have five attempts to log in to their Best Health account to make a booking. If the fifth attempt fails, patients will be locked out of their account for a period of time.

When the patient confirms the booking, they will receive an email with the appointment details, and a link to cancel the booking.

What does the booking look like in Bp Premier?

When a timeslot is selected by the patient during booking, Bp Premier immediately reserves the appointment time and updates the Appointment Book, even though the patient has not yet fully confirmed the booking. This prevents booking conflicts. If the patient later exits online booking without saving or cancels the appointment, the slot is freed.

The reserved appointment time is marked with a Confirmation Pending note. From Bp Premier, the appointment can be over-written or double-booked.
