Bp Allied System Requirements

This document provides the minimum recommendations for hardware, peripherals, and connectivity for the most recent versions of Bp Allied.

Bp Allied Server Requirements*

  • Windows 10 or later, including Windows 11
  • Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016 or 2019

Minimum Recommended Server Computer Configuration****

  • 6th gen or later i7 Desktop Quad Core Intel Processor or equivalent and above***
  • 16Gb RAM***
  • 10Gb Hard Disk Space (SSD Recommended)
  • Display size 1024×768 (min) - 2560×1440 (max)*****
  • Scaling resolution 1.25 or 125% (max)
  • Ethernet Network link**

Best Practice Software recommend against running the Server on a Laptop computer.

Bp Allied Client*

  • Windows 10 or later
  • Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, or 2019

Bp Allied will not run on a tablet or an iPad including the Microsoft Surface RT. The Microsoft Surface Pro is fine, assuming it complies with the other requirements below. We do not support Bp Allied Live Fully Hosted connections on any of these devices.

On a laptop, consider a higher-grade CPU e.g. instead of an i3 use an i5, or if an i5 use an i7.

Standalone Computer Configuration****

MAC Fully Hosted Client Computer Configuration

Best Practice Software offers a fully hosted service using Windows operating system which is accessible via Remote Desktop Protocol from MACOS systems.

  • macOS Mojave (version 10.14) or or newer, capable of running Royal TSX V5.0, or Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 or newer 6th Gen or later i3, i5 or i7 Intel Desktop Quad Core Processor or equivalent and above***

Notes on system requirements

* Please make sure your OS has the latest updates before installing BP Allied and you continue with any updates after that in a timely manner.

** We do not recommend the use of a Wireless Network or Wireless Internet connections to connect a server and client computer together. Although wireless connections can be used successfully, it is the End User's responsibility to provide solid Network Connectivity between the Client and Server computers and Bp Allied Software will not be held responsible for the performance of the program if this is not available. If WiFi must be used, then we suggest having equipment capable of 5Ghz WiFi connectivity rather than 2.4Ghz.

*** Reminder: These are minimum requirements, if you go under these your experience will be subpar and may limit our support options.

****This should be business grade hardware suitable for business applications.

***** Best Practice Software do not recommend exceeding 2560 x 1440 due to text being unreadable on small screens e.g. laptops. Note: Window scaling offered limited assistance
