Connect Lyrebird Health to Bp Premier

This article describes how to connect your Lyrebird Health account to Bp Premier in version Orchid Service Pack 2.

To connect Bp Premier with Lyrebird AI Medical Scribe in Orchid SP2:

Obtain your Lyrebird Health Best Practice Account Key

To connect Lyrebird Health to Bp Premier, you must first register for a new Lyrebird Health account, or if you already have an account, log in and acquire your Lyrebird Best Practice Account Key.

  1. To log in to your existing Lyrebird Health account or to create a new one, go to the Lyrebird Health website.
  2. Once you have successfully created a new Lyrebird Health account or logged into your existing account, from the menu in the Lyrebird browser, click Settings or select your Profile icon in the top-right corner, and then select Settings. The Account Settings screen will appear.
  3. From the left side menu, click Integrations. The Integrations screen will appear.
  4. Scroll the page until you see Best Practice Integration. Click Enable Integration.
  5. Your Best Practice Account Key will be displayed. Click Copy.

Connect your Lyrebird Health account to Bp Premier

Connect your Lyrebird Health account to Bp Premier using Your Best Practice Account Key.

  1. From the main screen of Bp Premier, select Setup > Users from the menu or press Shift+F4. The Users screen will appear.
  2. Highlight the user and click Edit. The Edit Users Details screen will appear.
  3. NOTE  The Lyrebird Health button will be visible in Setup > Users > Edit for users with Add/Edit/Delete or Add/Edit user permissions for Clinical Notes.

  4. Click Lyrebird Health. The Lyrebird Health Integration screen will appear.
  5. Press Ctrl+V to paste Your Best Practice Account Key into the API Key: field. Click Save.

A single sign-on connection between Lyrebird Health and Bp Premier will be established, enabling direct access to Lyrebird from the patient record in Bp Premier. See Use Lyrebird for Consults and Dictation for more information.

Can multiple users use the same Lyrebird Health API key in Bp Premier?

The Lyrebird Health User API Key is only valid for one user. If another user attempts to use the same Lyrebird Health User API Key in Bp Premier, they will be prompted to generate a new API key from their Lyrebird Health account.

When Lyrebird is launched from the patient record, a verification process is performed to confirm that the user's Best Practice Account Key and HPI-I match the data recorded by Lyrebird Health. Where the HPI-I does not match what Lyrebird Health has recorded, Lyrebird will fail to launch from the patient record.
