Changes to the National Immunisation Program (NIP)
The Government has made changes to the National Immunisation Program (NIP) for Pneumococcal Vaccines. From 1 September 2025, Prevenar 20 will be introduced into the NIP to replace Prevenar 13 on the Childhood Schedule.
When administering Pneumococcal vaccines under the Childhood Immunisation Schedule, manually add Prevenar 20 when sending to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).

Lyrebird Health have streamlined their existing onboarding experience, automating the user registration process and making signing up for a Lyrebird account from within Bp Premier easier than ever. With this Data Update, Best Practice has deployed an SQL script which will allow Bp Premier to generate an API key and assign it to new Lyrebird Health users.
When signing up for a new Lyrebird Scribe account:
- Bp Premier will generate an API key and assign it to the user.
- Lyrebird Health will then validate the key.
- Lyrebird will proceed to extract user information and automatically create the user account.
- The user will be logged in.

Summary of MBS changes for 1 July 2025.
From 1 July, 2025, there will be changes to the MBS. These changes include annual fee indexation and a range of administrative and policy changes to implement the Government's response to recommendations from the MBS Review Taskforce (the Taskforce) and the Medical Services Advisory Committee (MSAC). These changes will affect the:
- Health Insurance (Diagnostic Imaging Services Table) Regulations (No. 2) 2020;
- Health Insurance (General Medical Services Table) Regulations 2021;
- Health Insurance (Pathology Services Table) Regulations 2020; and
- Health Insurance Regulations 2018.
As a part of the recommendations from the MBS Review Taskforce and changes for Chronic disease management, new item numbers have been made available in Bp Premier.
