This article includes the questions asked by Bp Premier users during the BeInTheKnow: Reporting Essentials session delivered by Best Practice Software on the 11th October 2023.

Question

Answer

When running reports, I always have some random date ranges selected. Any hints?

It may be that you do not have the default report period selected.

  1. Select Management > Reports from the main Bp Premier screen to display the Bp Premier Reports screen.
  2. Select a report to view a description in the right hand panel.
  3. To run a report, click Select, or double-click the report name. The Report Viewer will be loaded, and the Choose the Report Parameters window will appear
  4. Select the configuration tab.
  5. In Default report period – Select the best option to match your preference (e.g., the Last custom range)
  6. Click Save in the Configuration tab.

Can I export the report as a spreadsheet?

Yes. In the report's top bar, click the Floppy Disc icon > Excel.

I have a big team. Do I have to allocate the report to every single user?

The access to reports is user based. But you can copy the access from an existing user by using the Inherit button.

See Get started with reporting for more information.

What report can I use to pay my providers?

It would depend on your practice's arrangement. See Get started with reporting for more information.

What is the difference between the payment date and the payment created date?

The payment date reflects the actual date the practice received the payment (this can be manually changed by the user on the payment details screen).

Payment created is the date that the payment record was created in Bp Premier when an operator first records the payment. This date cannot be changed.
