Set up bank and drawer names

This article describes how to configure bank and drawer names to assist in processing cheque payments.

If your practice accepts cheques as payment, bank and drawer names should be set up to simplify the processing of cheques.

The Process payment screen allows you to enter cheque details, however they are not saved. Setting up bank and drawer names can save time when recording cheque payments for patients and account holders who regularly pay by cheque.

NOTE  Users will need the user permission Cheque details set to 'Allow access' to update cheque details.

  1. Select Setup > Cheque Details from the main Bp Premier screen. The Cheque Details screen will appear.
  2. Cheque Details

  3. Click Add next to the list of Default bank names.
  4. Enter a bank name and click Add. Repeat for every bank name your practice receives cheques for.
  5. Click Add next to the list of Default drawers.
  6. Enter a drawer name and click Add. Repeat for every patient or account holder your practice receives cheques for.
  7. Click Save.
