Deposits allow your practice to take money in advance as payment for future services, or as holding fee for equipment hire, for example. You can record and adjust a deposit (until the deposit is banked), and allocate a deposit to pay or part-pay and invoice.
Using the Patient Billing History
Describes the functionality available from the Patient Billing History, which is the main screen used to create new accounts, and review and correct paid accounts.
A held account is a record that a patient needs to be billed, but you are not yet sure what services should be included on the invoice. For example, a patient has a biopsy performed on their arm which is sent away to pathology. Use a held account to keep a bookmark of the account and add the services when the pathology results are received.
