Whether the Refresh button or the Synchronise buttons display depends on the connection to your database.
If Refresh displays then Bp Allied directly connects to the database and there is no intermediary database location.
If the synchronise buttons display then there is a local copy of the database on your computer and hence synchronisation with the main databse is required. Click here for more information on Synchronising Bp Allied.
