Medication marked p.r.n. and template fields

If you assign patient medications to the Current Rx section of templates like care plans and asthma plans, but observe that the medication does not appear as a 'regular medication', the likely cause is that the medication is marked as p.r.n.

When prescribing medications, the checkbox p.r.n. in the dosage screen indicates that the medication is to be 'taken as needed'.

Prescribed medication PRN setting

If p.r.n. is ticked, the prescribed medication will not be printed on a care plan or any template that uses the field <Current Rx List (Regular)>.
